Eric Delwart, PhD, is a senior investigator at the Vitalant Research Institute and adjunct professor in laboratory medicine at UCSF. He earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and genetics at Newcastle University in the UK and his MSc in molecular biology at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He was then a research assistant at Genentech in South San Francisco before completing his PhD from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He was a post-doc at Stanford University and assistant professor at NYU and Rockefeller University before joining VRI.

Barry T Rouse received his initial education in England graduating as a veterinarian in 1965. He subsequently received graduate degrees for the University of Guelph in Canada followed by a postdoctoral in Australia at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of medical research, a renowned center for immunology research. He began his own independent laboratory investigating immunity to herpesviruses in 1972 and this endeavor still continues at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he is the Lindsay Young Distinguished professor of microbiology. He has had continual funding with multiple grants from the NIH and has trained almost 80 PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. He has published >400 research papers and reviews and has a h index of 85. Rouse has won numerous awards for his research which includes the lifetime excellence in research award from the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Alcon Award for excellence in vision research. Rouse was one of the earliest investigators on DNA vaccines, the role of regulatory T cells in viral infections and the relevance of manipulating metabolism to shape the outcome of viral infections. Several of his trainees are active researches and educators in multiple countries around the world and Rouse still interacts with many of them.

Dr. Michael Skinner is a professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Washington State University, Pullman Washington, USA. He did his B.S. in chemistry at Reed College in Portland Oregon, his Ph.D. in biochemistry / chemistry at Washington State University (WSU) and his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the C.H. Best Institute at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has been on the faculty of Vanderbilt University and the University of California at San Francisco. He is the Founding Director of the Center for Reproductive Biology at WSU and University of Idaho, which is the largest reproduction biology center in the world, with nearly 100 faculty. Dr. Skinner’s current research has demonstrated the ability of environmental exposures (e.g., toxicants) promote the epigenetic transgenerational inheritance (non-genetic form of inheritance) of disease phenotypes due to abnormal germ line epigenetic programming in gonadal development. Dr. Skinner has over 350 peer reviewed publications and has given over 350 invited symposia, plenary lectures and university seminars. Dr. Skinner is the Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Reproduction and the Oxford publishing journal Environmental Epigenetics. He has done Ted talks and had documentaries done on his research with BBC Horizon, PBS Nova, Smithsonian, and France ARTE. Dr. Skinner has also founded several biotechnology companies.

Dr. John Elmerdahl Olsen is professor of veterinary microbiology at the Scholl of Veterinary Medicine, University of Copenhagen since 1997. He graduated as a veterinarian in 1982 and obtained his PhD from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultura University in 1989 on a thesis dealing with Salmonella detection and epidemiology. He is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Microbiology. He has published more than 280 articles in International Journals and his H-index currently is 62. His research has dealt with broad selection of topics covering molecular pathogenesis of bacterial diseases, antimicrobial resistance, molecular epidemiology, diagnostic methods and tropical livestock production and diseases. His current research focus on alternatives to antimicrobial treatment in livestock and covers vaccines, prevention strategies and search for novel antimicrobial principles, including helper drugs to re-sensitize multi-drug resistant bacteria to antimicrobials.

Klaus is currently Dean of the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at City University. He previously served as Professor of Virology and Chair at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany (2007 – 2020), and Adjunct Professor of Virology at Cornell University (2007 – present). After finishing his veterinary degree in 1990, Klaus entered the field of virology, initially working with poxviruses. After his dissertation in 1993, his scientific focus switched to herpesviruses, specifically to work with equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1). He completed his “Habilitation“ in 1997. In the same year, Klaus started to work as a group leader at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute in Insel Riems, and began his investigations of an oncogenic herpesvirus, Marek’s disease virus (MDV) of chickens. He has continued to work on these two herpesviruses during his time on the faculty at Cornell and in Berlin. More recently his research extended into influenza and coronaviruses (SARS- and MERS-CoV, infectious bronchitis virus of chickens, and canine coronaviruses). Klaus is an avid advocate of using natural virus-host systems, because of their unique model character and because they allow harnessing the strength of collaboration with clinicians and researchers from other disciplines. Using infectious clones and reverse genetics, his laboratory mechanistically studies viral pathogenesis and utilizes this knowledge for engineering of modified live virus vaccines. His research has been funded continuously since 1994 by public funding agencies including the European Union, the NIH, the USDA, the DFG and other public sources. He has also secured support for his work from pharmaceutical companies and philanthropists. Klaus has more than 230 scientific publications and his h-index currently stands at 51. He is editor and member of the editorial board of a number of journals, and his honors include membership in the Academy of Sciences of Thuringia since 2014, the Young Investigator Award of the Academy for Animal Health (2002) and the WVPA-Boehringer Ingelheim Vaccine Innovation Award (2017).

Dr. Richt came to Kansas State University in 2008 as The Regents Distinguished Professor and Kansas Bioscience Eminent Scholar. In 2010, he became Director of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center of Excellence for Emerging and Zoonotic Animal Diseases (CEEZAD; www.ceezad.org ) and in 2020 Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center on Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (CEZID; www.k-state.edu/cezid ). He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Munich and a PhD in Virology and Immunology from the University of Giessen, both in Germany. After coming to the United States in 1989, he completed three years of postdoctoral/residency studies at The Johns Hopkins University and later served for eight years as a Veterinary Medical Officer at the National Animal Disease Center (USDA-ARS) in Ames, Iowa. He has edited several books, published more than 275 peer-reviewed manuscripts and raised more than $60 million in grants for veterinary research. Dr. Richt is a pioneer in veterinary science, most notably in the “One Health” field. His work on high consequence pathogens with zoonotic and transboundary potential led to strategies to identify, control and/or eradicate such agents. His basic and applied research includes studies on animal influenza viruses, animal prion diseases including bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), Rift Valley Fever virus (RVFV), African Swine fever virus (ASFV) and Borna Disease virus (BDV). Dr. Richt established the first reverse genetics system for swine influenza virus (SIV), and made seminal contributions to the development of a modified live SIV vaccine now sold in the U.S. as “Ingelvac Provenza™” and to understanding the virulence of the reconstructed 1918 “Spanish Flu” virus in livestock. He identified an atypical BSE case with a causative mutation (“genetic BSE”), used gene-editing approaches to develop the first prion protein knock-out cattle which are resistant to prion infection, and provided valuable information on host range of animal prions essential for risk analysis. Dr. Richt’s RVFV work led to the development of novel domestic and wild ruminant models for RVF and a safe, efficacious, and DIVA compatible subunit vaccine which is presently undergoing USDA licensure. For ASFV, he is developing subunit and modified live virus vaccine candidates as well as Point-of- Need diagnostics (PenCheckTM) to protect swine from this devastating disease. His recent work focused on the establishment of preclinical animal models for SARS-CoV-2 to determine the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics. As founding Director of the DHS CEEZAD and the NIH CEZID Centers, he is supporting NIH, DHS and USDA in protecting public health and U.S. agricultural systems from devastating animal and zoonotic diseases.

University Prof. Dr. Dr. Hafez was head of the Institute of Poultry Diseases of the Free University in Berlin from October 1st 1997 until 31st October 2016. He is currently Gust “senior” Professor at the same Institute. Dr. Hafez is Veterinary Poultry Specialist, Veterinary Microbiology Specialist and Veterinary Animal Hygiene Specialist. He is Diplomat of European College of Veterinary Public health (Dipl. ECVPH) and Diplomat of European College of Poultry Veterinary Science (Dipl. ECPVS). In addition, he is an honour Professor at the University of Hohenheim, Germany since 1996 as well as honour Professor at the Alexandria University, Egypt since 2009. Since 2015, he is advisor of the Arab Federation for Food Industries (AFFI). He is currently Honorary Life President of the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA). From 2007 -2011 he was the President of the WVPA. From 2011-2015 he was of the Vice –(Past)-president of the WVPA. Furthermore, he is Chairman of Poultry Scientific Committee of the German Veterinary Chamber, Chairman of the German Branch of the World Veterinary Poultry Association and Chairman Working group 10 (Turkey) European Branch of World Poultry Science Association (WPSA). Chairman of the group 10 (Turkey) of European Branch of World Poultry Science Association (WPSA). Hafez's research interest focused on poultry diseases diagnosis and control in general and food borne diseases, management, animal welfare and hygiene.

Dr. Chowdhary is currently the Dean at the College Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), UAE University. During the past 41+ years he has worked in various prestigious universities in India, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Qatar and UAE as a teacher, researcher, and a senior administrator in research & graduate education. His primary research interests are in the field of animal genetics, specifically focusing on cytogenetics, comparative genomics, gene mapping, disease genetics, etc. He has published over 220 original research articles, books, and reviews in prestigious international journals some of which represent groundbreaking work and has received several million USD in funding from various highly competitive national and international research agencies around the world. He has won some prestigious recognitions for his research, like the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence, Distinguished Achievement Award for Research (TAMU) and University Faculty Fellow (AgriLife Research). He has served as the President of the Texas Genetics Society and is currently Professor Emeritus at Texas A&M, University, USA. His passion is to advance, organize and promote education and research in Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and strengthen awareness on global food security.

Sungchul C. Bai is an International Professor in the FAO-World Fisheries University Pilot Program, Professor Emeritus and Managing Director of Feeds & Foods Nutrition Research Center at Pukyong National University (PKNU) in Busan, Korea. He has MS in Animal Nutrition from Calif State Univ, Fresno, and PhD in Nutrition /Physiological Chemistry from the School of Vet Med, UC Davis. He has also worked and experienced in nutritional biochemistry and feeding of fish as a research associate at Texas A&M Univ, as an adjunct professor at The Ohio State Univ, and as a visiting professor at UC Davis in USA. He joined at PKNU in 1993 and he has published300 books or book chapters and peer reviewed papers (SCI, SCOPUS & KNRF listed), over 700 conference abstracts, research reports and articles, he has registered several patents, and he has given a numerous special seminars, key notes and lectures internationally and domestically. He is the past President of World Aquaculture Society, Korean Federation of Fisheries Science & Technology Societies, Korean Society of Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences and Vision 21 Korean Aquaculture Forum. He has been generated more than $10 Million dollars from many different Research Foundation and FFNRC during his teaching and research career so far. He guided 16 post-doctors (4 Int`l), 31 PhD (8 Int`l) and 70 MS (22 Int`l) degree students as the major advisor from 1995 to 2021, and he currently has 4 MS students, 6 fulltime Research Associates including 3 post-doctoral associates.

Born in Georgia, USA, Dr. Lee Willingham graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Following four years of private veterinary practice he served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer Veterinarian (1990‐1992) in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco where he developed an interest in parasitic zoonoses of both public health and agricultural importance in developing countries, e.g. echinococcosis, cysticercosis, schistosomiasis and foodborne trematode infections. This interest led to Fulbright Graduate Research Fellowship (1993) and PhD (1994‐1997) study programs on zoonotic schistosomiasis at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Denmark including many visits to endemic sites in China and the Philippines. From 1997‐2010 Dr Willingham was involved in Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA)‐ funded projects in Africa aimed at strengthening research capacity on parasitic diseases of livestock belonging to small‐scale farmers. He coordinated and supported the research efforts of postgraduate students based at veterinary schools in eastern and southern Africa, while also serving as Deputy Director of the WHO/FAO Collaborating Center for Neglected and Other Parasitic Zoonoses based at University of Copenhagen. These efforts eventually focused on the emergence of neurocysticercosis caused by the zoonotic tapeworm Taenia solium as a major preventable cause of epilepsy in Africa. From 2004‐2006 he was seconded by DANIDA to the Nairobi‐based International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) to work with their project on human health impacts of livestock keeping. Dr Willingham was lead organizer of international meetings on cysticercosis held in Arusha, Tanzania (2002) and Bellagio, Italy (2004 and 2006) and assisted in the establishment of the Regional Network for Asian Schistosomiasis plus Other Helminth Zoonoses (RNAS+) and the Cysticercosis Working Group in Eastern and Southern Africa (CWGESA) for which he currently serves as an adviser. In November 2007 he organized, on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO), the international meeting Integrated Control of Neglected Zoonoses in Africa held in Kenya. From 2007‐2015 he served on WHO’s Foodborne Diseases Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG) which assessed the global burden of over 30 of the most important foodborne diseases. Dr. Willingham worked at WHO’s Special Program for Tropical Diseases Research and Training (TDR) based in Geneva, Switzerland from 2010‐2013 where he facilitated identification and prioritization of global research needs for helminth and zoonotic diseases as well as for the thematic area of the environment, agriculture and infectious diseases, and assisted in initiating TDR’s new research program on environmental and climate change impacts on vector‐borne diseases. From 2013‐2020 he lived on the West Indies island of St Kitts where he has served as Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) Professor of One Health, inaugural and founding Director of the One Health Center for Zoonoses and Tropical Diseases for three years and Associate Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies for six years. While at RUSVM, Dr. Willingham served on the Board of the One Health Commission, two terms on the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)’s Committee for International Veterinary Affairs, and as president of the Central American and Caribbean Association for Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (2017‐2019) hosting the Association’s biennial congress on St Kitts in 2019. In February 2021, he was appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the United Arab Emirates University College of Food and Agriculture.

Before joining City University of Hong Kong, he was the Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Professor of Animal Health and Biotechnology at Coventry University, UK. Prior to this appointment, he was the Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Northumbria University, UK. Olivier is a Chartered Biologist, a Fellow of the Society for Tropical Veterinary Medicine (of which he was the President several times), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and an Associate Member of the Royal Society for Chemistry. He has published over 180 peer-reviewed papers and over 400 conference abstracts. He has been working on animal diseases, zoonotic pathogens and vector-borne issues for over two decades”

Naveed Ahmed Khan is Professor of Medical Microbiology at University of Sharjah Medical School. Previously, he has held positions at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, USA; Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA; University of London, UK; University of Nottingham, UK; Aga Khan University, Pakistan; Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Biological Sciences at Sunway University, Malaysia and Professor and Head at the American University of Sharjah. With research grants of over $3 million, he has produced over 305 peer-reviewed publications, 7 books and 7 chapters, and guided over 50 graduate students. In recognition of his research efforts, he has received several awards from the UK, the USA, Pakistan, Malaysia and the UAE. Dr. Emad Ata has a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Infectious Diseases with joint supervision from Gifu University, Japan. He is an Ass. Prof. at the Parasitology and Animal Diseases Department, Veterinary Research Institute, National Research Centre, Egypt. He published a lot of scientific articles and reviews in the same field. He is a reviewer in different international peer-reviewed journals in the areas of applied molecular biology, virology, biotechnology, immunology and vaccines, and epidemiology of infectious diseases. With more than 12 years of experience in scientific research, he is a member of multiple national and international projects focused mainly on the diagnosis and control strategies for infectious diseases. He is an active member of the different medical associations.

Dr. Luis Alberto Raggi S. is a professor in the School of Veterinary and Livestock Science at University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. He did his studies at the veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Chile, his Ph.D. in veterinary / ruminant physiology was at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Experimental Station of Zaidín, dependent on the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) Spain, from which he obtained a doctorate scholarship. Postdoctoral fellow was carry out at the International Atomic Energy Agency / FAO in Vienna, Austria. Actually is Professor of Animal Physiology and Principles of Neuroscience in the Department of Animal Biological Sciences, of which he was his Director. He has obtained different distinctions, among which stand out, Best Undergraduate Teacher and Prize University of Chile "Sciences and Humanities", Biological Sciences area, (Honour Mention). Actually is the Director of the International Centre for Andean Studies (INCAS 2002 to date), dependent on the Vice-rectory for Research and Development, being its founder together with leading scientists. His research line is in extreme high altitude environments and desert areas. He has held different management positions: Vice Dean and Director of the Undergraduate School. Director of Research and Extension, member of the Qualification Commission of his Faculty and of Academic Commission for Academic Evaluation in the Faculty of Agronomic Science and Forest Sciences and Conservation of Nature. He has been a consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile and Peru and a member of the Committee of Experts in International journals. He was Head Coordinator of Congresses of Veterinary Medicine and of the VI World Congress on South American Camelids, Arica, Chile. He attended as an expert, with different assignments to Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Spain, Chile, China and Peru. His research has been funded by projects: DTI, IAEA, FONDECYT, FIA, CONAMA, Swiss Embassy and Private, which has allowed the publication of more than 80 writings between books, book chapters and in national and international magazines. His main motivation is Social and Economic Development at Extreme High Altitude Livestock.

Dr. Levitan is Helping PAW’s primary veterinarian and the Executive Director. She has been a specialist in veterinary small animal internal medicine and has practiced for over 30 years. She is currently an associate professor at LIU College of Veterinary Medicine and a small animal internal medicine specialist at Peace Love Pets Veterinary Care. She has put much effort in community education regarding animal welfare as well as the provision of affordable basic pet care. She feels strongly about controlling pet overpopulation and helping those who cannot help themselves and has created Helping PAW as a means to significantly contribute to the cause.

In 2002 he obtained a degree and qualification in Veterinary Medicine in Bari (Italy). In 2004 he moved to the north of Italy to reach a clinic where he worked for about a year as an anesthetist. In 2005 he opened his first veterinary clinic as a partner-owner, where he will carry out his profession until 2019. He continued his training on neurology and advanced diagnostic imaging, participating in national and international meetings, practical courses and educational itineraries on the paraparetic and epileptic patient, diagnostic imaging, spinal neurosurgery, on neurological examination, on brain and cranial nerves pathologies, on advanced neurosurgery, on computed tomography (CT) and on pathologies of the spinal cord and peripheral nervous system, and finally on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Since 2013 he is the owner and medical director of the Caleidos Veterinary Center, where he deals with neurosurgery and advanced diagnostics (CT, MRI, and Electro diagnostics). In 2017 he took part in the SINVet meeting "Neuroncology: in the middle earth" and in the "5th SCIVAC diagnostic imaging itinerary"; in 2018 he participated in the international symposium "Cervical Spondylo-myelopathy (CSM) -State of the Art", and at the 14th European MRI User Meeting in Zurich and at the SINVet meeting on Neuropediatry. 2018 is also the year in which he achieved the Certificate of General Practitioner in Neurology (GP Cert Neurology). In 2019 he attended the theoretical-practical specialization course, organized by the University of Parma, on electrodiagnostic applied to neuromuscular pathologies in dogs and cats. Since 2018 he is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and of the Italian Society of Experts in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Chiara is an EBVS and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Oncology. In 2009, she was the first in Europe to be awarded, by examination, the title of European Specialist in Small Animal Oncology and was a member of the examination committee of the ECVIM college between 2011 and 2018. Chiara is currently a proud member of the oncology team at a large referral hospital in the UK midlands Willows Referral, and she is one of only a few experienced, certified UK oncologists in the use of electrochemotherapy for the treatment of cancer in pets. Alongside her referral clinical activity in small animal oncology, Chiara is passionate about teaching. She offers online practical oncology courses on www.vetcpd.co.uk. She is an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool and is a multilingual specialist consultant and lecturer at events in the UK and across Europe. A/Professor Farhid Hemmatzadeh is a virologist at the School of Animal & Veterinary SciencesThe University of Adelaide, Australia. Farhid has over 20years’ experience in research and teaching at the field of animal viral diseases including paramyxoviruses, herpesviruses, pestiviruses, retroviruses, coronaviruses, parvoviruses and influenza viruses. In last 15 years since pandemic of highly pathogenic influenza viruses in South-east Asia, Farhidhas been involved in research,development and assessment of diagnostic test and the vaccination strategies for avian influenza. These strategies were required wide ranges of molecular techniques and bioinformatics analysis approaches including, molecular cloning, recombinant protein technology, recombinant monoclonal antibodies, bacteriophage display systems, and DNA vaccines. Since 2010, Farhid has established a well-equipped virology/ molecular biology lab at the school of animal and veterinary sciences and absorbed multiple research grants from national and international sources. A/Prof Hemmatzadeh has supervised 18 PhD project and led more than 10 national and international collaboration in the field of animal viral diseases and vaccine development. Farhid has published more than 120 papers in scientific journals in the field of virology and bioinformatics, including four papers in Nature journals, five in PlosOne, and few more in Vaccines, Viruses, Genes and Medical Microbiology as the highest-ranking journals in the field of biomedical sciences. His collaboration work on development of KoRV recombinant vaccine has published at the Nature vaccine (NPJ) and attracted international attentions in the field of new generation of anti-retroviral vaccines.

Monier Sharif, Full-Professor of Veterinary Pathology, Omar Al-Mukhtar University, Libya. Born in 6thof April 1971. He obtained his PhD in 2006 from the University of Justus Liebig-Giessen - Germany. He holds several governmental administrative positions: Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, College of Veterinary Medicine. Member of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Animal Health. General Coordinator of Municipalities during the Emergency Period and Military Governor. First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock and Marine Resources. Has published many scientific Articles and reviewer for many national and international journals. Member of the advisory board of Al-Mukhtar Journal of Science - Omar Al-Mukhtar University. Head supervisor of a research projects on zoonotic parasitic fish diseases, Prion diseases, Since 2012, he has been a member of the Libyan National Biosafety and Bioethics Committee (LNCBB) and he is the coordinator of training programs at the LNCBB. He is the head of the Libyan delegation several times to the expert meetings of the Biological Weapons Convention(BWC) at the United Nations.

Professor Mohammad Zibaei has completed his Ph.D at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Medical Parasitology and Research Fellowship Course in the Kobe University Graduate School of Health Sciences in Immunoparasitology (2006-2007), Kobe, Japan. He is currently as Professor (Full) of parasitology in the Department of Parasitology and Mycology at Alborz University of Medical Sciences, Iran. He has given several international lectures on parasitic helminthiasis and has been a member of the scientific committee and the organization of various international conferences and congresses. Dr. Zibaei has published more than 120 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an Ad-Hoc reviewer in famous journals.

Dr. Ihab Habib is an an Assistant Professor in the College of Food and Agriculture (Department of Veterinary Medicine) of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and an adjunct Senior Lecturer at Murdoch University in Australia. In his current role at the UAEU, Dr. Habib coordinates teaching and research on veterinary medicine, meat hygiene and veterinary public health. Before joining UAEU, he worked (between 2015 and 2019) as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology at Murdoch University, Western Australia. Also, he worked as Assistant Professor (Junior Docent) of Veterinary Public Health at Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and Lecturer of Food Hygiene and Control at Alexandria University (Egypt). Dr. Habib holds an MSc in Public Health Sciences (Alexandria University, Egypt), an MSc in Food Safety and Hygiene Management (Birmingham University, UK), an MSc in Tropical Animal Health (Institute of Tropical Medicine, Belgium). In 2010, Dr. Habib was awarded a Ph.D. in Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety from Ghent University (Belgium). His specific research theme focuses on veterinary public health and microbial food safety - studying the epidemiology and risk assessment of foodborne zoonoses (e.g., Campylobacter and Salmonella) and applying the One Health approach toward management of zoonotic and foodborne pathogens at the human-animal-food interface.

Dr. Shehata gained his Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medine, Alexandria University and his Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) at the Department of Poultry Diseases from Sadat City University, Egypt in 2005. In 2011, he completed his Dr. medicinae veterinariae (Dr. med. Vet.) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Leipzig University, Germany. In 2015, he finished the Dr. habilitatus (Dr. med. vet. habil.) thesis at the Institute of Bacteriology, Leipzig University, Germany. Dr. Shehata is certified Quality Manager, Auditor, Trainer of Trainer, European Business Competence License level EBCL, Good Manufacturing Practice” (GMP), FELASA-B und -C and physiotherapist. Dr Shehata's research interest focused on epidemiology, development of vaccines (inactivated, live-attenuated, and molecular-based vaccines) as well as developmentof alternative antimicrobials. He has 3 Patents, 3 book chapters and 70 peer-reviewed publications in international journals with IF with an h-index of 13. Since 2018, Dr. Shehata is worked as aProfessor at theUniversity of Sadat City, and simultaneously, the leader of the Research and Development Department, PerNaturam Company, Germany.

Prof Ala Tabor joined QAAFI's Centre for Animal Science at the University of Queensland in October 2010, after 18 years of conducting research with the Queensland Government. She is a research focussed academic with a strong background in industry engagement associated with animal health and agricultural biotechnologies. Her research interests are associated with the application of genomic sequence data to improve animal disease management through: 1) the development of molecular diagnostic and genotyping methods to better identify pathogens; and 2) the study of gene function in relation to virulence and host pathogenicity of infectious diseases, to develop new effective vaccines. Areas studied to date include bovine reproductive diseases (in particular bovine genital campylobacteriosis), Australian paralysis tick (Ixodes holocyclus), cattle tick (Rhipicephalus microplus species complex), and tick-borne diseases (babesiosis and anaplasmosis). Some key outputs of her work include the application of reverse vaccinology for the development of a novel cattle tick vaccine and paralysis tick vaccine (patents pending), and commercialized diagnostic tools for bovine reproductive diseases. Prof Tabor has attained and completed ~$12 million in competitive grants in the last 10 years including the ARC, pharma and industry. Current research includes paralysis tick vaccines/treatments, bovine biomarkers for disease resistance, cattle tick commercial vaccine trials, bioinformatics/genomics of ticks and bovine venereal Campylobacter spp., tick fever genotyping/detection, and diagnostic assay development for bovine genital campylobacteriosis. Her research vision is to translate her research outcomes into viable products and methods for the benefit of livestock producers and pet owners.

Dr. SezenOcak is currently an Associated Professor in the Department of Animal Science at atOndokuzMayıs University, Samsun-Turkey. She did her B.S. and PhD in livestock science at Cukurova University, Adana Turkey. She has pursued her further post graduate studies in Canada, Spain and Italy. She teaches courses and develops research on livestock farming systems within the framework of systems theory and agroecology to achieve more sustainable local food production and consumption patterns. In recognition of her research efforts, she has received several awards from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey in 2010,2011,2012,2014 and 2015. She has been working in animal science for 20 years and is a founding member of the Agricultural Centre of Excellence in Turkey. She is involved in several national and international projects of livestock production and has acquired a strong experience of sheep and goat production and herd management. She has been in the scientific and organizational committee of various international conferences and in charge of small ruminant breeding program in the breeders’ organization.SezenOcak has published more than 100 refereed papers in the scientific journals.

Pawel M. Bartlewski (DVM, PhD) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He received his doctorate in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan. His research interests include, but are not limited to, endocrinology of reproduction, assisted reproductive technologies, and non-invasive monitoring of internal organs and tissues in animals and humans. Professor Bartlewski teaches physiology and endocrinology to DVM and Biomedical Science students. During his academic career (2003-present) he supervised nearly forty graduate students. He has authored or co-authored 130 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. His most recent publications include original research papers in Domestic Animal Endocrinology (“Administration of a single dose of 300 IU of human chorionic gonadotropin seven days after the onset of estrus improves pregnancy rate in dairy goats by an unknown mechanism”; 2021;106579) and Theriogenology (“Correlates of reproductive tract anatomy and uterine histomorphometrics with fertility in swine”;2021;165:44-51).

Dr. Francisco Felicilda Buctot Jr. is known for his dynamic, dedication and creditable efforts to animal production and food security of the country. He is one of the promising and notable agriculturists, animal production specialist and a key player in the field of poultry breeding, nutrition, production and management in the local, national and international community. His researches had an impact to poultry industry, which is an important sub-sector of livestock production, that plays a crucial role in economic growth. His impressive contribution is on the breeding and morphological characterization of Red Jungle Fowl in Leyte. He has a valuable contribution on the conservation and upgrading of the endangered Red Jungle Fowl, which is the origin of the Philippine native chicken. His findings are of great help to other researchers by providing the baseline information about Red Jungle Fowl. He also ventured on feed formulation for poultry species using cheaper and most promising alternative feed ingredients and supplements from agriculture and aquaculture source. His outputs are of great impact to the smallholder poultry farmers in the Philippines since feed is the most expensive input in poultry production. He is also developing technology particularly on the process and composition of food and non-food product using the locally available natural resources. His innovation provides significant socio-economic impact to the community especially to the ordinary people of the country. He is currently serving as Associate Professor IV of Southern Leyte State University, Philippines. He also serves as Accreditor, Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and University in the Philippines (AACCUP) and Evaluator, Regional Quality Assessment Team of Commission on Higher Education, Region VIII (CHED RO8) and Department of Science and Technology -Consultancy for Agriculture Productivity Enhancement (CAPE) Program (DOST-CAPE Program) Consultant. He is a Licensed Professional Teacher and Licensed Agriculturists.

Eran Lavy is an Associate Professor for Veterinary Medicine at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI). He received BSc. in agriculture (animal husbandry) HUJI at 1984, MSc. in pharmaceutical sciences HUJI at 1986 and his DVM degree HUJI at 1989. He was certified as specialist in clinical medicine of companion animals by the Israeli Veterinary Services at 1995 and as specialist in veterinary pharmacology by the Israeli Veterinary Services at 1997. He was certified as specialist Diplomate in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (Dip. ECVPT), by the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at 1999. Since 1989 he is a faculty member at the HUJI. He used to work at the Hebrew University Teaching Hospital in the Internal Medicine Department with special interest in gastroenterology until 2018. His research interests are mainly in clinical pharmacology especially aspects related to controlled release drug delivery systems (CRDDS). He is teaching in several Veterinary Medicine courses. Professor Lavy published over 70 scientific papers and hold 8 patents in the field of CRDDS. He is a member of several committees at the Veterinary Medicine School as well as at the Agriculture Faculty and several organizations around the world.

Nighat Perveen is PhD fellow and PhD candidate in College of Science, at United Arab Emirates University, UAE. Her PhD research is on ticks and tick-borne diseases of camel and other livestock in UAE. Dr. Devi graduated with PhD in Agriculture degree from School of Agriculture and Food Technology of the University of the South Pacific (USP), Alafua campus, Samoa. Her doctoral research was in Animal Science stream in Poultry Nutrition. The research area focused on poultry feed formulation with the aim to reduce feed cost using alternative feed materials. Adi Nawasreh a Technical Sales Manager of Diagnostics and Laboratory Supplies Division at ARTAT Enterprise. I worked in a specialized poultry clinic and I supervised many broiler farms. Because I am a type of person who is used to understand what he is doing and aware about keeping up updated with the latest science, I decided to study a master's degree to connect between field and science. I finished my master's degree in microbiology an immunology of poultry. Then I worked as a research and teacher assistant at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Then I came back to the field to make the bridge between the filed and the science.

Uttam Budhathoki got his BPharm and MPharm (Industrial Pharmacy) with First Class from Kathmandu University in 2000 and 2003 respectively. He received PhD from the university in 2011 with the partial research grant of International Foundation for Science (IFS), Sweden and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Hague, The Netherlands. He completed Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) in Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology (IPMB), University of Heidelberg, Germany in 2014. Johan F. Bernal is microbiologist with (c)master’s degree in Public health from Andes University, Bogotá, Colombia. He has been working approximately for 10 years from "one health" scope generating knowledge in antimicrobial resistance and molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases in Colombia. Last 5 years, he has been part of the implementation of genomics to understand antimicrobial resistance and the epidemiology in pathogens of global health concern in Colombia. His working base has been “Corporación Colombiana de Investigación Agropecuaria-AGROSAVIA" involved in the Colombian program for antimicrobial resistance surveillance (COIPARS). COIPARS, a successful antimicrobial resistance integrate monitoring established the baseline from One health approach in Colombia. This initiative involved official institutions, producers, industry and research institutions in a national consortium. The COIPARS model has been set as a point of reference to other LMICs for the development of National integrated AMR surveillances. He had participated in national and international projects, recently, he is part of NIH Global Health Research Unit (GHRU-AMR), initiative of the Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance (CGPS) at Sanger institute in the United Kingdom. This initiative has the objective of provide massive intelligent genomic data on antimicrobial resistance and the strengthening of local genomic capacities on human talent, infrastructure, equipment, and communication in the participant countries. In this initiative, he has been bioinformatic area coordinator for 2 years. He has been involved in different OMS/PAHO pathogens reference networks in Latin America (Pulsenet, Relavra). He had participated for 6 years in regional activities for the incorporation of WGS in the pathogen surveillance. He had been participated in 15 relevant scientific publications on different pathogens and 3 educational materials for agriculture producers. The experience and results from COIPARS and other national and international projects developed by AGROSAVIA have been used to promote policy development and decision-making on antimicrobial resistance at different levels in Colombia.

Barbara Padalino graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2002 at the University of Bari (Italy) and completed her PhD at the Faculty of Veterinary Science of The University of Sydney in 2017. She currently works as researcher at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bari (Italy) and she worked as a lecturer in equine science at the School of animal and veterinary sciences of Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga (Australia). Her research interests span from equine internal medicine to animal welfare. After graduating in Veterinary Medicine in 2002 from the University of Bari, she has worked as a fully qualified equine veterinarian in sport medicine, reproduction and surgery. She has been also a rider, driver and Standardbred horse breeder and owner; thus she has always been involved in moving both her own and clients' horses. As a horse vet she has faced difficult cases of transport related diseases and has decided to study transportation to prevent these illnesses. Since 2011 she has conducted research on horse transportation and her PhD focused on the implications for horse health and welfare arising from transportation. She is member of the International Society of Equitation Science and the Animal Transport Association. She has written more than 50 international peer reviewed scientific articles and has presented her research at many international scientific conferences worldwide.

Christian Happi, is a Professor of Molecular Biology and Genomics and Director of the World Bank funded African Center of Excellence for Genomics of infectious Diseases (ACEGID) in Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. Professor Christian Happi, did his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University from 2000-2003. He subsequently worked at Harvard University as a Research Scientist (2004-2007) and became an adjunct Professor at Harvard University School of Public Health between 2007-2011. Professor Happi in an unprecedented way, recently used next generation sequencing technology to perform the first sequence of the new SARS-CoV-2 in Africa, within 48 hours of receiving sample of the first case in Nigeria. This seminal work not only provided an insight into the detailed genetic map of the new coronavirus in Africa, not only confirm the origin of the virus, but also pave the way to the development of new countermeasures including new diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines. He received the Merle A.Sande Health Leadership Award in 2011; the 2016 Award of Excellence in Research, by the Committee of Vice- Chancellors of Nigerian Universities; the 2019 Human Genome Organization (HUGO) Africa Prize for his seminal work on infectious diseases genomics in Africa, including Ebola and Lassa fever and the 2020 Bailey K. Ashford Medal by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH).

Dr. Yasser Mahmmod is a Lecturer in Faculty of Health Sciences (Veterinary Sciences Program), at Higher Colleges of Technology, United Arab Emirates.Dr. Mahmmod is also Assistant Professor at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt).Dr. Mahmmod is an enthusiastic and results-oriented veterinarian, lecturer and researcher with special passion and strong expertise in farm animals’health, infectious diseases and epidemiology, and One Health. He developed a strong national and international research profile in herd health management including bovine mastitis, milk quality and intramammary infections epidemiology. During 2016-2018,heworked as a postdoc fellow at University of Copenhagen (Denmark)on epidemiology and diagnostics of mastitis pathogens. In 2015, he completed a postdoc at University of Minnesota (USA) on dairy production medicine.Dr. Mahmmod has a PhD from University of Copenhagen (Denmark) on cattle health and epidemiology. He has MSc in infectious diseases (bovine tick-borne diseases) from Zagazig University (Egypt) and DVM from the same university. Dr. Mahmmod is a fellow of HEA and ACVPM candidate. Dr. Mahmmod got several recognition and scholarships such as Marie-Sklodowska Curie fellowship in 2017, and Merit Scholarship fellowship in 2016. In addition to award of the best master thesis in veterinary medical sciences, and State Encouragement Award (highest national recognition) in Agriculture Sciences from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (Egypt). As a researcher,Dr. Mahmmod believes in exploiting all the available information from gene level to animal level tounderstand the epidemiological determinants (host-pathogen and environment) anddisease pathogenesis and its impact on farm animal health, and production cover all the epidemiological determinants including to delineate the disease processes and understand the disease transmission and dynamics within the animal population to implement the appropriate control strategies.

Potego Phakwago is a dairy scientist and a mixed farmer from South Africa. He received his National Diploma (2011) and Bachelor of Technology (2013) in Agricultural Management from Nelson Mandela University. He holds Masters of Technology Degree (2015) in Dairy Science titled: "A Comparative Assessment of Dairy Calf Feeding Management Systems at Fernwood Dairy Farm, Alexandria, Eastern Cape" and currently awaiting for graduations after submitting his Doctor of Philosophy (2020) in Dairy Science titled: "Analysis of Socio-Economic influencing factors of Efficiency and Management Practices for Smallholder Dairy Producers in South Africa" both with Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. He became one of top 50 young scientist in developing countries 2016/17 and went to research at National Dairy Research Institute (ICAR-NDRI) Karnal, India. He also received an Excellent Participant Award in China 2015/16 at the Seminar on Agricultural Environment Controlling Technologies of Arid Areas for Developing Countries. He worked as a dairy farm manager milking 800 cows for 3 years, he lectured for over 3 years at Nelson Mandela University and have been running accredited full time and short courses at his own my farm on agricultural courses (livestock production, Vegetable production, Beekeeping, Hydroponic etc.). Amongst the many produce harvested from his farm for national market supply are Butternut, Spinach, Gem Squash, Okra etc. In addition he knowledgeably pass down skills to local smallholder producers on livestock and crop production under his newly accredited private agricultural college in South Africa.

Mhlangabezi Slayi is Postdoctoral fellow in Risk and Vulnerability Science Center, at University of Fort Hare, South Africa. His Postdoctoral research interest is on climate change risks to livestock production and response strategies in rural communities of South Africa. He received PhD, MSc and B.Sc. Agriculture from University of Fort Hare, South Africa in Animal Science.His background with teaching and learning is in lecturing and facilitating undergraduate courses and practical lessons for the past ten years. In the past eight years, he also turned his focus in community engagement initiatives and facilitation through research.He has publishedpapers in peer reviewed journals (Springer Link and Taylor and Francis indexed journals). His specific research theme focuses on climate change risks to livestock production in rural communities and opportunities to improve resilience and productivity in livestock through applying climate smarttechnologies - studying the feedlot cooperative system as a climate smart approach to reduce enteric methane output and improve resilience and productivity in livestock species in South African rural communities.

Professor Reza Vakili is a Animal nutritionist at the Animal Sciences, The Azad University, Iran. Reza has over 25 years’ experience in research and teaching in the field of animal nutrition. Prof Vakili has supervised 8 PhD projects and led more than 100 national and international collaborations in the field of animal nutrition. Reza has published more than 70 papers in scientific journals in the field of animal and poultry nutrition.AlsoHe is a technical advisor and formulator on the design of premixes and supplements for animal & Poultry in Iranian Company. His vision is to be the first choice for innovative high quality feed and livestock products, focused on improving animal performance and customer profitability. His focus lies with innovative, performance-led nutrition and we are renowned for on-farm nutritional services and technical support. He is continually involved in research, with some of the leading institutes and on farm, aiding the development of new products and goods supported by advice and assistance from qualified, knowledgeable staff. Hisstudies and experiences are concentrated on ways that improve feed efficiency in broilers and layers.

Dr. Shinde Tamboli Anil S is currently working as a Scientist (Livestock Production and Management) in the College of Agriculture, in Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University at Jabalpur, India. He did his MVSc and PhD in Poultry Science at Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly Uttar-Pradesh, India. In master and PhD he worked on Artificial insemination (AI) and In-ovo supplementation of egg in chicken respectively. After that he worked as Livestock Development Officer for two year and after that joined as scientist in JNKVV University. He teaches courses and develops research on livestock and Poultry farming systems. In recognition of his research efforts, He has received several awards from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of India in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021. He has been working in animal science for 10 years. He is involved in several national and international conferences of Poultry Sciences and has acquired a strong experience of Livestock and Poultry production. He has been in the scientific and organizational committee of various conferences and in charge of Poultry and Dairy Unit while working in University. He has published more than 30 research papers in the scientific journals.

Emmanuel Farayola is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine who graduated from Nigeria’s premieruniversity with top grades (2013 to 2019) at; the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Emmanuel Farayola is a young researcher that is passionate about Anti-microbial Resistance (AMR), Vaccines, Infectious diseases and poultry science. He worked as a resident veterinarian at Ayoteni Veterinary Services, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria (2019 to 2020). He also worked as a poultry veterinarian at Amo Byng Sieberer Hatchery& Farms, Awe, Oyo State, Nigeria. He has served in various leadership capacities and has volunteered for different public health outreaches in Nigeria. He served as the Project Coordinator at Anti-HIV Community Development Service, National Youth Service Corps, Odeda Local Government Area, Ogun state (2019 to 2020). He was an organizer of a Public campaign against Zoonosis (Rabies disease) on World Rabies Day with Nigeria Veterinary Medical Association in Oyo state. He belongs to multiple professional affiliations and also with various certifications. He has attended different scientific conferences, workshops and training. One of his published articles was presented at the International Research Conference, World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology, Cape Town, South Africa (April 16-17, 2019). As a young researcher, he has publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.
